The literary standards set by the government are woefully low. This means that testing in the majority of educational establishments (SATs for example) cannot be relied upon.
One of our own assessments of a school leaver in 2008 showed his spelling to be at the 2% level. Put in context, 98% of age matched individuals would spell better.
Yet he achieved a 'pass' mark in final literacy testing at age 16. How can such 'proof' be taken seriously? |

It is not unusual for us to find that someone achieving Grade C in English at GCSE can only spell at 5 percentile (where 50 percentile is average).
Sadly, not even a degree is evidence of competent literacy or indeed a good vocabulary.
The same is true of doctorates (be they medical or PhDs). They are no longer a reflection of a person's (verbal or written) language status. |

Integrity is at the heart of our service. Like Access Analysis (part of our group) we do not fudge figures.
Our assessments will provide percentiles (50 being average), for reading, spelling, verbal ability and non-verbal ability. Also included will be a brief screening for specific difficulties which will not form part of the profile.
It will however highlight issues (i.e. dyslexia) that may need to be addressed separately. |

The results will be based on observation and testing your employees face to face. None of our tests are software based, neither are they multiple choice. Personality testing cannot be depended upon and we do not use the tests in our practice.
Our profiles will be based on an employee's performance. The results are not open to interpretation but are based on pure fact. |
