Do You Get What You Pay For?
In some circumstances, you expect to pay a premium price for a premium product. A high price can be an indicator of quality. Unfortunately, this is not the case when comparing the cost of dyslexia assessments and therapies. Some of the least qualified 'practitioners' charge high prices. (See Alternative Therapies)
What To Look For?
AMBDA: - (Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association). This is not a qualification as such but is a recognition of a trained teacher having successfully completed an approved course in dyslexia.
Qualifications

Certificate in SpLD (Dyslexia)
Diploma in SpLD (Dyslexia)
Diploma in Dyslexia from St Bartholomew's Hospital (discontinued)
Diploma in Education (in the Assessment & Remediation of Dyslexia)
Master's Degree (MEd Dyslexia Bangor) |
